It locks the camera via a 1/4"-20 screw on the bottom and features rubber pads to prevent scratching and twisting. Both the baseplate and side plate are Arca-Swiss standards with center marks.

The side plate comes with a built-in cold shoe that allows for mounting a microphone or light for vlog shooting and features a 1/4”-20 threaded hole to attach the quick release plate on the gimbal for vertical shooting.
