    Description

PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!!!..Nice original "Pensacola Florida Select Views" folded booklet.
This is an older folder with a 2-cent postage stamp affixed as this folder was mailed by a US Sailor to someone in Connecticut in 1918. The San Carlos Hotel is on the cover. There are 11 color 2-sided images for a total of 22 scenes/images. They look like postcards but obviously they are not. When fully unfolded, the images stretch 44" long. This folder is in pretty nice shape but the front and back covers show some wear/scuffs. A few of the scenes have some light age "staining" on the borders as well...Some of the views are as follows: Palafox Street, Observation Balloon being inflated at the US Naval Air Station, Seaplanes and hangers at the USN Air Station, Pensacola Hospital, Lee Square and Confederate Monument, Parade Grounds and Barracks at Fort Barrancas, City Hall, American National Bank Building, Curtiss Seaplane ready for Flight, Gulf Florida & Alabama Railway Company Coal Pier, Navy Observation Balloon In Flight, L&N Depot, Elks Hall & Osceola Clubhouse, Burgess Dunne Seaplane with US Cruiser "Columbia" in the background,  L&N R.R. Docks, Escambia County Court House & Armory, Curtiss Flying Boat leaving a US Battleship and the Post Office. The back cover shows the Y.M.C.A building.
