Today we are delighted to be offering for sale a beautiful pair of antique Manchester sterling silver vases!
The Manchester Silver Co. was founded by William H. Manchester as W.H. Manchester & Co in the year 1887 in Providence, RI. The company subsequently acquired the dies of Richard Dimes Co. around the 1950s. They manufactured both sterling silver flatware and hollowware. Manchester Silver Co. lasted until 1985, where their dies were sold to Boardman.
These elegant vases are finely crafted of sterling silver, in an elongated urn shape with pedestal bases. The vases are perfect to display floral arrangements on a sideboard or dining table, and are perfect for a fireplace mantel. Each vase is marked on the bottom with the Manchester hallmark and "Sterling 943-934".
Vases are in good antique condition, with minor surface wear/scuffing, tarnishing and patina commensurate with age. There are a few very minor dents/surface imperfections; one of the vases has a dent at the base; the other vase has a dent on the bottom rim. These small imperfections can be easily smoothed out by a jeweler if you'd even bother. No Monogram.
