Fine Old Hickok-Matthews Sterling Silver Trumpet Vase 7 1/4" tall 1930s

Description

Part of a family silver collection for many years, this wonderful large sterling silver trumpet vase stands 7 1/4" tall, and measures 6" in diameter at the top, and 3" diameter at the base. Made by the Hickok Matthews Silver Co. of New Jersey in the 1930s, the vase features a ruffled edge at the top, a weighted base, and a hand engraved Old English letter "L" on the body. While there are a few  indentations to the body which did not show in our photographs, there are no serious damages or issues.
Engraved into the base with the Hickok Matthews trademark and the words "Sterling" and "Base Filled with", the number "240l" is also included. Weighing 147.4 grams on our silver scale, the trumpet vase is a fabulous addition  to a silver collection, and is offered with out reserve.
