Civil War Soldier Man Hand Carved Wood Figurine Statue 11 3/4 Inch

Vintage or Antique Hand Carved Wood Statue or Figurine of a man, whom I assume is perhaps a Civil War soldier, due to the jacket, belt, and trousers tucked in the boots, who appears to be saluting or holding his hand to his ear as the other hand holds his hat to his side.  Information and/or a signature along with a price in pencil appear on the bottom of the base. Figure stands 11 3/4 inches tall and is 3 1/4 X 2 7/8 inches at base. The detail is very nice in the clothing and particularly in the face. Item weighs 10.8 ounces by my postal scale.
