From my private collection , this shows a man on horseback rescuing a wounded fellow soldier . Look closely at the fallen soldier. He has a bandage on his head. He is desperately reaching up for help. Such details.. the broken wheel and sword. The horse rearing back as the soldier pulls its head back . Even the horses mouth is open . This is Chilmark fine pewter of the civil war “The Rescue “ 897/2500. Condition is "Used". Size is 7x51/2 and 6 inches tall. Artist is Francis J. Barnum who sadly passed away in 2018 . I believe this sculpture was made in 1987. Item very heavy to ship it pewter a heavy metal
