Antique/Vintage Brass Cannon in Walnut Box-- Man Cave Decor

This is a solid Brass Cannon that we found in the accompanying walnut box.  We have no information on either cannon or Box but thought them interesting, possibly not even connected, but the cannon was in the box when we found it.  There is no maker information on either Box or Cannon that we could find but the Cannon does have a cast crown attached to the top of the rear of the barrel.  The Walnut Box has a few nicks and dings but seems in otherwise good condition.  The Cannon measures 9.75 inches from the back of the carriage to the front of the barrel.  The Cannon itself is 7 inches long.  The Cannon weighs just over 3 pounds and together they weigh 5 pounds, 11 ounces.
We are not sure if the Cannon was intended to be fired but near the middle of the Cannon there are two threaded nipples (One of them is broken off.) that may have been used to fire the Cannon.  The brass is darkened in that area as if it had been fired long ago.  On the barrel in front of the nipples, there appears to be a Letter R stamped into the brass Look at the photos of the Cannon and Box and see what you think.  Our pricing is a guess and we invite your inspection and offer.  We can ship them inexpensively within the U.S. and accept returns for any reason within 30 days.
