    Description

1968 CANADA - 8 COIN MINT SET WITH "SILVER" QUARTER & DIME.
1968 is the first year that The Royal Canadian Mint has started producing pure nickel coinage. That’s what this set showcases. It also has “emergency” silver coinage in the quarter and dime as identified by the two coins in the very front. You can tell just by looking at them which is which. (The quarter is a lot easier to distinguish than the dime).
I have gone through this adorable little set and replaced all of the dingy coins with Proof coins from a 1968 Mint Set that I had. I also had a silver quarter and dime that I replaced because they were very dingy and tarnished.
This would make an awesome birthday present for a 54 year old or even a great Christmas present!!
